So what is Vacation Ownership?

A Vacation Home, the way Club Mahindra offers to its members is a property that has a very specific and pre-defined form of ownership. Multiple parties hold the rights to each property and each one is allotted the usage of this for a fixed period in any given year. In simple words, you own a gorgeous property for a week or so every year. Now, this is where we’d like to introduce Club Mahindra. Vacation Ownership usually refers to one property. With Club Mahindra you get around 40 such properties all over India! That’s a lot isn’t it? There’s been a surge in the demand for Vacation Homes and the demand for vacation ownership is likely to grow at about 16 per cent annually from 2006 to 2015, facilitated by supply growth of about 12 per cent annually over the same period.

We mentioned Club Mahindra briefly before, so what it is that they offer? For starters, there are a myriad of choices in what kind of membership you want. These choices extend from the kind of accommodation you’d want to stay in to the time of the year you want to vacation in. Club Mahindra classifies what time of the year you’d want to travel in as various ‘Seasons.’ There are four – Purple, Red, White and Blue.
Purple is the top tier. If you like travelling any time of year but specifically prefer to travel during festivals, national holidays and events like New Year’s Eve, then this is what you want.Red is for those whoprefer holidaying during ‘peak’ season, e.g. school or college vacations, the weeks around festivals, or the option of holidaying almost through the year. The White season is between the peak and the off-season. This is a time when most of the regular tourists have gone back to work and there is some measure of peace at most destinations. Holidaying with the intention of getting some peace and quiet? Or travelling in the monsoons because nature is just magnificent this time year? If you normally look to travel when you know there won’t be too many holidays, the Blue is for you. To summarize,

Accommodation:

There are three kinds of accommodation available for you, One Bedroom, Two Bedroom and Studio Apartments. You can pick and choose whichever one is best suited for you. That’s not all, you can upgrade as from a Studio to a One Bedroom as well. For example, if you’re a White Studio Member and want to upgrade to a Red One Bedroom, you can. There is of course an additional fee, but it’s well worth it.

Affiliation with RCI:

RCI or Resorts Condominium International is the world leader in the vacation ownership industry. RCI does not build or operate resort properties, but many resorts may affiliate with RCI. The owners of these resorts can become RCI subscribing members. RCI members have access to exchange holidays and are also entitled to host of other travel-related benefits and services offered at special members-only pricing.

As a Club Mahindra member, you can stay at your home resort or explore available options at more than 4,000 RCI affiliated resorts in more than 100 countries around the world for the first two years. Home away from Home:
